Grotte di Nettuno is situated on the base of the imposing Capo Caccia cliffs. Its name derives from the sea god "Neptune". The cave is accessible, when the sea is calm, by a ferry-boat or through the 656 steps called "Escala del Cabirol" opened in 1954. The staircase descends along all the cliff, for 110 meters from the summit to the entry, licked up from the waves, where the boats can dock.
