According to the great amount of archaeological remains found, Mógan was an area populated by the early natives. Nowadays, is an important economic zone with an agricultural zone that produces vegetable and tropical fruits whose harvest surpasses four thousand metric tons per season. Located on the southwest of Gran Canaria, Mogán has several areas of archaeological interest such as Tauro Alto, Barranco de Arguineguín, Barranquillo de la Jara, Lomo Galeón or Canada de La Palma, among others. The older village of Mógan is just a ten-minute drive away from Puerto de Mogán towards the mountains. It's a small, pretty, quiet hill village. Perhaps the most interesting thing about Mógan today, is the giant objects displayed in the gardens and clearly visible from the roadside. Objects such as 2 metre tall cups and saucers.
