Lindos town, which is located 50 km southeast of Rhodos town, has a population of 1,000 people. It is one of the most interesting archaeological sites in Rhodos and it attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. It is well known for its Acropolis of Lindos and it is the birthplace of Charis the Lindios, architect of Colossus of Rhodos. Just like the Old Town of Rhodos, it was declared as a monument for preservation and therefore it has managed to maintain its old tradition and style. On the sandy beach of Lindos bay, you can relax and enjoy the sun all day long. In the evening, in many tavernas you can taste original greek food. Taxis and busses are available across the island.
